Starting from the enchanting and historic town of Évora, the capital of Alentejo, we discover UNESCO treasures of medieval architecture as we visit the old monastery of São Paulo and the picturesque town of Monsaraz. The shores of Europe's largest man-made lake provide the opportunity for boat trips and hikes , before starting our exploration of the sites around the mines of São Domingos. The famous 'Fisherman's Trail'- fisherman's path' of Rota Vicentina is a paradise on earth and provides an experiential experience in this journey of a lifetime. According to the famous Condé Nast Traveler magazine, the "fisherman's path" is one of the 6 most beautiful coastal paths in the world. Always by the sea, it follows the path used by the locals to access the beaches and fishing grounds. Ideal for adventurous hiking, along the rocks, it is a challenging trail with strong winds, overlooking the sea and the presence of wild and green nature. Arriving in the Portuguese capital, we leave the city and head east, to the historic city of Evora. With a history dating back about five millennia, Évora's rich heritage is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later we will enjoy a stroll through its wonderfully preserved old town, where it was founded by the Romans, conquered by the Moors and favored by the Portuguese kings of the Christian recovery. The city's medieval alleys and squares are blessed with an amazing collection of palaces, churches and wonderful traditional cafes.

After breakfast we will enjoy a short drive to the nearby Freixo do Meio estate 500 acres. A place that gives us the opportunity to learn more about the sustainable techniques used by this cooperative that specializes in organic food production. Our walk through the grounds of the estate will take us to the cork plantations and the beautiful countryside of Alentejo. After a delicious and healthy meal, we will visit her 7000 years old megalithic structure of Cromeleque dos Almendres, to Stonehenge, Portugal before returning to Évora for the evening.

Built around the 14th century castle, its whitewashed houses and narrow streets overlook the waters of the Alqueva Dam and provide an impressive starting point for today's hike of 10 kilometers around Arrabaldes de Monsaraz. Immersed in its traditional beauty surrounded by olive groves and historical monuments, the hike takes us through a landscape full of Roman stories, Moorish and Crusader Knights.

The Alqueva Dam spans the waters of the largest artificial lake in Europe. Today we have the opportunity to walk in some of the most impressive mountain landscapes in Catalonia 250 square kilometers, the lake, when filled to capacity, covers almost 1200 kilometers of coastline and reaches a depth of approx 100 meters. It also provides us with an impressive backdrop for today's excursion, as we enjoy our boat ride and hike around the lake shore.
